Exploring another lost place on Mallorca
Anybody visiting the Felanitx climbing area has passed the old factory complex that is one of the most well known lost places on the island (besides the Es Fogueró Palace, theater turned unofficial graffiti museum). However on the opposite side of the crag and tugged away among the vegetation you can find the Sa Mola quarry.

Even though these kinds of unused quarries can be found all over the island, this one is exceptionally big and work has left quite impressive structures including several tunnels that can be explored. From a bit of looking around there is actually some potential for bouldering and climbing here as well.

Access to the area is easy enough as it is just a short walk from the end of the road leading to the  “Poliesportiu Municipal”. However: Scrambling around in abandoned places might be dangerous for many reasons and everyone is responsible for their own safety.
