Lake Näsnaren to Kisa

Riding away from our camp spot the traveling groove was starting to set in. The day would bring us about 150 km further south, by the town of Norrköping and through what looks like a green and blue Pollock painting on the map.

The first two hours of the day were almost completely on rough gravel tracks with short climb after short climb - in one word heaven (or hell depending on your viewpoint). Arriving in Norrköping we finally were able to buy a gas canister for our cooker, ending our coffee drought.

After leaving town the day continued as it started: Old railroad lines converted to cycling tracks, gravel backroads and forest tracks for hours on end. A green tunnel that is only broken up by pristine lakes and falun red farm houses - and in this particular case a huge castle in the middle of nowhere at which we stopped for ice cream, coke and coffee* (the holy trinity of mid day stops). That night we stayed in a B&B close to Kisa. The friendly host gave us full access to the fridge - that might have been a mistake...

* A tip regarding cafes in Sweden: They normally serve only drip coffee but the great thing is that it comes with free refills.
